چکیده

Abstract Extreme climate change greatly affects the metabolism of laying hens due to their intolerance high environmental temperatures. Hence, improve metabolism, feed quality also needs be improved. This study aims determine blood lipid profile consuming a diet rich in citric acid and beta-carotene (β-carotene). During study, 200 Lohmann strain aged 35 weeks ration with crude protein content 18.39% metabolic energy 2960 Kcal/kg were used. The treatment was fortification various levels β-carotene sources 0.2% acid, namely T0 (without acid), T1 (0.1% + T2 ( 0.15% T3 (0.2% acid). data analyzed by analysis variance further testing Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. Furthermore, observed variables cholesterol HDL, as well triglycerides. results showed that significantly affected but had no significant effect on concentration HDL Considering these results, it concluded ratio decreased amount fat blood.

Effect of Tomato Waste Meal on Lay Performance, Egg Quality, Lipid Profile and Carotene Content of Eggs in Laying Hens

An eight week study was conducted to investigate the effect of inclusion of tomato waste meal in layer diets on laying performance, egg quality and lipid profile as a means to reduce feed cost and pollution. Four laying diets containing tomato waste meal (TWM) at four levels of 0, 3, 6 or 9% were assigned randomly to 4 groups of 40 birds divided among four replicates of 10 birds in each dietary...

Amino Acid Recommendations for laying hens

During recent decades productivity of laying hens increased substantially (Elliot, 2008). Not only egg number, egg mass, and feed conversion has increased but also persistency of lay has improved. As such, this must have implications on the optimal amino acid nutrition of current laying hen strains. Simply stated, increasing egg mass output per hen means an increased amino acid output which has...

Appraisal of Hematological Indices and Humoral Immunity in Commercial Laying Hens Fed Rations Consisting Cottonseed Meal and Sodium Bentonite

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of cottonseed meal (CSM) treated with sodium bentonite (SB) on certain blood components and immune response of laying hens. A 3 × 3 factorial arrangement with 3 levels of SB (0, 10, and 20 g/kg of diet) and 3 levels of CSM (0, 100 and 200 g/kg of diet) were used within 9 dietary treatments of 4 replicates each. Nine mash diets were fed to ...
